It has 12 monitored beds and five low acuity beds located next to the outpatient waiting room. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Emergency assessment, treatment and stabilization are the focus of the department.
The department's Fast Track service, adjacent to the main emergency department, is designed to quickly and effectively treat people with less serious illnesses and injuries to minimize their time in the emergency department.
The physicians, nurses and physician assistants have many years of experience in emergency care and are dedicated to providing quality care to patients.
