First Graders at Centre Elementary School

The first grade classes of Ms. Law and Ms. Rebon from the Centre Elementary School toured Clearfield Hospital recently. The children toured the Lab, the Emergency Department and Imaging. As an extra special treat, Deloris Gibson, Director of Food and Nutrition Services, and her staff provided each child with protective gloves, aprons, and “chef” hats and the opportunity to make an ice cream sundae. At the end of the tour, each child received a treat bag, cookies and punch.  The tour guides, as well as the children, had a great time.

Members of Girl Scout Troop 56 of Clearfield recently toured Clearfield Hospital, giving them the opportunity to learn about the healthcare community and the world around them. Troop 56, under the leadership of Christine Bumbarger, is made up of Brownie, Junior and Cadet scouts, ranging in age from 7 to 14. Betty Jordan and Nina Davis are the troop's assistant leaders. They help the girls explore personal interests, develop a healthy way of life, work on leadership skills and provide service to their community.
