Anna Anna, R.N., manager of the Clearfield Hospital Wound Clinic, recently earned the designation of Certified Wound Specialist, awarded by The American Academy of Wound Management.
In order to earn this accomplishment, Mrs. Anna was required to pass a rigorous national board certification examination that tested her knowledge of the science of prevention, care and treatment of acute and chronic wounds. According to The American Academy of Wound Management, certified wound specialists should always be sought as a key member of an institution's wound management team. Clearfield Hospital's Wound Clinic was established in November 2003. Dr. Robert E. Steward Jr. serves as medical director. Mrs. Anna has worked at Clearfield Hospital since August of 1995 after receiving a degree in nursing from Mount Aloysius College. She worked five years on the medical/telemetry floor and then accepted a position in the Case Management Department. She entered into nurse management in January of 2002 and manages the Wound Clinic and the Outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Education Program. Mrs. Anna resides in Patton with her husband of 22 years, Charles J. Anna Jr., and two daughters, Ashley and Cassandra. |
