 The first baby born at Clearfield Hospital in 2007 was Kensley Addison McCahan, daughter of Josh and Destini McCahan of Hyde. Kensley was born on Jan. 2, 2007, at 8:02 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 18 inches long. She has a sister, Alexis, 7, at home.

Kensley was welcomed with gifts donated by area businesses:

  • CNB Bank, Clearfield Bank & Trust Co., Northwest Savings Bank and CSB Bank donated savings bonds.
  • Wal-Mart Distribution Center provided several items, including a car seat, a bouncer, bath set, rattle, toys and a case of diapers.
  • Sapp Brothers donated stuffed animals and a piggy bank.
  • Sandee’s Candies and Gifts gave a WillowTree New Life collectible.
  • Siegel Engraving donated a trophy engraved with "First Baby Born at Clearfield Hospital 2007."
  • The Strawberry Tree donated an August Moon collectible, while Morgan Signs gave a blanket.
  • Country Butcher, Rowles Family Furniture, Tom Palumbo and Sons, Rainbow Car Wash and Daniel’s Fine Dining donated gift certificates.
  • Clearfield Hospital gave diapers.
