| Clearfield Hospital recently expanded outpatient services at its Philipsburg facility.
Philipsburg Outpatient Services, located in the Clearfield Hospital Medical Services facility in the Peebles Plaza, Philipsburg, offers general X-rays, electrocardiograms, blood draws and specimen collections for laboratory orders. According to Audra Sidelinger, imaging manager, and Yvonne Lansberry, laboratory manager, the staff is made up of highly trained radiology and laboratory professionals who are all committed to providing quality medical care to the residents of Philipsburg and surrounding communities. Referrals from physician offices and other medical facilities are accepted, according to Diane Alexander, registered technologist and Philipsburg Outpatient Services supervisor. She added that the new program is a wonderful addition to the medical services already provided at the Philipsburg site. A variety of services provided in Philipsburg Philipsburg Outpatient Services joins three other Clearfield Hospital offices at the Philipsburg facility: Clear-Med Primary Care – Philipsburg, Moshannon Valley Surgical Clinic and Nittany Hospice. Clear-Med Primary Care – Philipsburg is the new name of Philipsburg Family Medical Services. According to Carol Haywood, practice manager, the name change was made to better reflect the care provided there. The staff provides primary medical care, appointments for minor illnesses and injuries and physicals for employment and commercial driver’s license applicants. Providers are Dr. Baltazar Corcino and Jim McCliment, physician’s assistant. Dr. Robert E. Steward, Jr., of the Moshannon Valley Surgical Clinic performs a full range of inpatient and outpatient surgery. Dr. Steward is board certified in general surgery and has been serving the surgical needs of the community since 1979. He is also the medical director of the Wound Clinic of Clearfield Hospital.
