Dr. Ho’s presentation is designed to help women better understand the changes their bodies go through and what steps they can take to manage the physical and emotional changes that may occur at menopause.

“It’s important for women to learn as much as they can about this important time in their lives. Knowing what to expect and developing strategies to cope with the symptoms can make a big difference. I believe women who have reached menopause or are nearing it will greatly benefit from this program,” Dr. Ho said.

Menopause is defined as the cessation of menstruation for 12 consecutive months. This marks the end of a woman’s reproductive years.

Most women reach menopause between the ages of 45 and 55, but menopause may occur as early as the 30s or 40s or may not occur until a woman reaches her 60s.

Symptoms of menopause include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, irregular periods, breast pain and vaginal and urinary tract changes.
