Donald E. Conrad, D.O., was recently elected by the Clearfield Hospital medical staff to serve as its president.
In this role, he represents the views, policies and needs of the medical staff and serves as liaison between the medical staff and senior administration and the board of directors. Prior to his election, Dr. Conrad served as vice-president of the medical staff. Dr. Conrad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College of Allentown in 1979. He earned a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. He completed an internship at the Allentown Osteopathic Hospital and a residency at the Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center. He is board certified in Osteopathic Family Practice. Prior to joining the medical staff of Clearfield Hospital in 1989, Dr. Conrad served as a physician with the United States Air Force Medical Corps and was Deputy Chief of Hospital Services at Griffiss Air Force Base. At Clearfield Hospital, he is the chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and has served on the Bylaws, Infection Control and Quality Assurance committees. Dr. Conrad is the medical director for Ridgeview Elder Care, a position he’s held for 16 years. This fall will mark his 20th year as the team physician for the Clearfield Area High School football team; he’s also served as the school district’s physician for the past 19 years. Dr. Conrad practices at Clearfield Family Medicine, which is located at 502 Park Ave., Clearfield. He resides in Clearfield with his wife, Mindy. They have a son, Casey, who is entering his sophomore year at Bucknell University. |
