Requirements: Associate Degree in Medical Secretarial/Records field required. Good communication skills a must in dealing with the public and medical staff required. Ability to meet current productivity standards as developed for job position required. Prior experience required in Medical Records analysis/abstracting/ processing for acute, ACU, ED, and outpatient accounts including scanning and quality control. Ability to work in an electronic environment. Proficient in computer software and hardware i.e. word and excel. Must have knowledge and experience with HIPAA and confidentiality laws.

Position Summary: Assembly/Analysis of discharged, ACU, observation, ED, Swing Bed, Hospice, and outpatient records. Release of confidential information. Birth/Death certificate preparation and submission to vital records. Maintenance of the Master Patient Index and Terminal Digit Unit Record System. Operation of the Hospital Information System, EDM, and CRIS Chart Tracking System. Scanning of medical records utilizing the EDM system.
