Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses provide 24-hour nursing care for medical, surgical, pediatric and obstetrical patients. The Nursing Department also provides specialized nursing care in the Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, Peri-operative areas, Telemetry Units, Emergency Department, Hospice, and Home Health. They conduct childbirth education classes, patient education and discharge planning sessions, staff education programs and family-oriented maternal/child health services.
The department is equipped with invasive and noninvasive monitoring systems in the Intensive Care, Telemetry, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics Units, as well as the Emergency Department.
