About Physical Therapy
A team of licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants provides treatment for recovery from many types of illness and injury, such as stroke, neck and back pain, post operative and other orthopedic problems, wounds, and de-conditioning that might occur from medical problems.
Treatments include: exercise training, manual therapy, massage, traction, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, ultrasound and patient eduction.
Inpatient Swing Bed Unit residents also receive physical therapy at the hospital. These services are available six days a week.
Outpatients are scheduled Monday through Friday are are treated in the physical therapy department. Clearfield Hospital offers outpatient physical therapy to a wide variety of patients ranging from pediatric to the elderly population.
As part of the home health regimen, PT can also be completed in the home for homebound patients.
